Forest Policy Working Group membership is open to a wide variety of forest-related interests, including:
- Public, private (large and small), and Tribal forest landowners and managers
- Forest products manufacturers
- Organizations dedicated to conservation, environmental, and wildlife protection
- Carbon finance mechanisms
- Academic institutions.
Members meet monthly to share information and discuss forest policy topics in a confidential space. They have the opportunity to sign on to position statements, white papers, and principles when alignment is achieved.
Members retain organizational independence and are expected to participate in good faith, with a shared commitment to constructive dialogue, mutual respect, and practical problem-solving.
