Reforestation for Ecosystem Resilience: Exploring Ecosystem-Scale Science, Logistics, and Opportunities for Reforestation

Workshop

March 16 @ 9:00 am

The event addresses reforestation, a timely topic and one where we in the Forest Climate Working Group receive many questions. The session will cover ecosystem-scale science, logistics, and opportunities for reforestation in response to disturbance, as well as a changing climate, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

Speakers include:

  • Sonya Germann, Forestry Division Administrator, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation
  • Malcolm North, Research Ecologist, Pacific Southwest Research Station, U.S. Forest Service
  • Eric Sprague, Vice President of Forest Restoration, American Forests
  • Moderator: Ann Bartuska, Senior Advisor, Resources for the Future
